Weekly sessions with various partners exploring a range of media and forms of art.

Creative, Safe and Accessible

These sessions allow people to channel their feelings into their work, or simply have fun while making conversation with those around them. Being creative is a great way for people to relieve stress, feel calm and express themselves. We have a very relaxed time together and it is accessible for anyone to join in.

Art of belonging

Refugee Roots alongside key partners have setup a steering group made up of an artist representative and various arts organisations to develop and deliver a city-wide arts programme for refugees and asylum seekers.

We signed a pledge with a number of other organisations, find out more about the pledge and sign it for yourself.

Sport

Our Access movement project funded by Sport England is an oppirtunity for refugees of all ages to become more active and involved in physical activity
Help with Universal Credit

Do you need support with Universal Credit? Book a 1-to-1 consultation with a trained advisor.
Advice and Guidance

Our support workers can provide information, advice and guidance on a range of support issues. They can make referrals and signpost participants to the support they require.
Cooking and Eating Together

Cooking and Eating Together is an opportunity for people to develop their cooking skills and learn new recipes while making friends. It's also a chance for people to share their own beloved dishes and learn about other cultures.
Women's Group

A safe space to meet with other women every Tuesday for support, friendship and empowerment
Access

Access is a hub of activity, a place to belong, connect, get support, and help. A wide range of activities and learning opportunities to suit all.
Befriending

Building confidence through one-off or long term support
Make a referral

Make a referral for a refugee or asylum seeker. We will respond as soon as possible. When we receive a referral we will contact or arrange to meet the person who has been referred.
