Refugee Week 2023

Refugee Week is a UK-wide festival celebrating the contributions, creativity and resilience of refugees and people seeking sanctuary. Refugee Week 2023 runs from 17th to 25th June and this year’s theme is Compassion.

Come and take part in Refugee Week with Refugee Roots. There are events taking place throughout the week, across Nottingham City Centre. You can get involved by: 

• coming along to any of our events, to meet other people and find out more;
• making a donation to cover the cost of a participant’s place at an event;
• supporting our Refugee Week appeal to raise £3000 towards our work.

Compassionate Giving

As our work with refugees grows significantly and is making the difference for more refugees than ever, we need more funding to keep responding well to the increasing demand and need for support. 

We aim to raise £3000 towards our much-needed work. 

In this current financial year (1 July 2022 to 30 June 2023) we have already worked with more than 600 participants, with 5 sessions of Access each week, two art sessions a week, more advice sessions and a thriving befriending project we are confident and committed to helping those in need find friendship and a place to call home. 

Funds raised will be used in the areas needed most.
