St Mary's in the Lace Market

Refugee Roots Partners with St Mary’s Church to Support Refugees and Asylum Seekers Refugee Roots is proud to announce an exciting new partnership with St Mary’s Church in the Lace Market to launch an evening programme dedicated to supporting refugees and asylum seekers in Nottingham. Starting Tuesday, 23rd September 2025, the project will run every Tuesday evening from 6 pm to 8 pm and is powered by funding from Nottingham City Council and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
New Partnership with Lawstop

Lawstop has partnered with Refugee Roots, a charity supporting refugees and asylum seekers, to provide them with free legal advice and support through a weekly legal clinic. This partnership addresses a significant need for legal aid within the community served by Refugee Roots, which helps people with welfare, housing, and employment issues but struggles to source legal support for their participants.

Refugee Roots is pleased to announce that we have been awarded a grant of £15,000 by the Society of the Holy Child Jesus !
Partnership with Wellbeck Primary School

We are glad to announce our most recent partnership with Wellbeck Primary School. This collaboration will provide refugee families with a monthly morning coffee drop-in sessions, which will enable them to access all the essential services and information that would facilitate their day-to-day life.
Primary Takeover Partnership

Primary Takeover: Where Creativity and Community Come Together! At the start of this month Refugee Roots collaborated with Primary Gallery to host a three day event for our participants with the intention of bringing people together through arts and cooking workshops. From April 8th to the 10th, the event created a welcoming space where participants could express themselves, try something new, and connect with others.
