Working in partnership with Suits Me

Suits Me work in partnership with Refugee Roots to support asylum seekers in need. Suits Me understand that, for asylum seekers in the UK, building a stable foundation is essential as they start their journey towards a better life. And a key step to settling in is opening an account for their money.

Opening a bank account as an asylum seeker can be hard though. Many banks require documentation they may not have and expect them to visit a branch. This is where Suits Me can help, with an online account, using only an ARC card, in minutes, and information in their chosen language.

We are pleased to announce that Refugee Roots has been awarded a grant of £25,000 from Postcode Places Trust, a grant-giving charity funded entirely by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.

We are happy to announce that we have been accredited as a living wage employer! Our living wage commitment will see that everyone employed at Refugee Roots receives a minimum hourly wage of £10.90

Trinity Church Nottingham, Compassion Ministries

Trinity Church has partnered with local charity Refugee Roots to collectively deliver Refugee Roots’ Access Project in Trinity’s Home Space each Wednesday. Refugees can access free language classes at the Home Space each Wednesday with a free lunch, drinks and cakes from 1pm, and English classes from 1.30pm until 3pm.
