What does the Fundraising Badge mean?

The Fundraising Badge is the logo that says, ‘Registered with Fundraising Regulator’. The badge means that the organisation you’re donating to has committed to legal, open, honest and respectful fundraising.

This is because when an organisation registers with the Fundraising Regulator it commits to fundraising in line with the Code of Fundraising Practice – the UK’s charitable fundraising standards.

The Fundraising Regulator is the independent regulator of charitable fundraising in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Find out more about the Fundraising Regulator.

Vodafone's charities.connected is part of their everyone.connected campaign, helping four million people and businesses cross the digital divide by the end of 2025. Vodafone have awarded us 300 SIM cards to distribute for free to our participants.
Postcode Places Trust awards £25,000 to Refugee Roots

We are pleased to announce that Refugee Roots has been awarded a grant of £25,000 from Postcode Places Trust, a grant-giving charity funded entirely by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
Living Wage Foundation

We are happy to announce that we have been accredited as a living wage employer! Our living wage commitment will see that everyone employed at Refugee Roots receives a minimum hourly wage of £10.90
The Leathersellers' Foundation

Support for Refugee Roots The Leathersellers' Foundation awarded £5,000 to Refugee Roots in April 2023.
Trinity Church Nottingham, Compassion Ministries

Trinity Church has partnered with local charity Refugee Roots to collectively deliver Refugee Roots’ Access Project in Trinity’s Home Space each Wednesday. Refugees can access free language classes at the Home Space each Wednesday with a free lunch, drinks and cakes from 1pm, and English classes from 1.30pm until 3pm.
The Hilden Charitable Fund

The Hilden Charitable Fund is an endowed grant-making foundation and a registered charity. It funds smaller UK-based organisations delivering projects within the UK to support social justice and to tackle disadvantage in specific areas of focus. We provide unrestricted, core and project funding.

Refugee Roots awarded 3 years of funding by The National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund. Nottingham-based charity Refugee Roots has been awarded three years of funding by The National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund.
