A time of reflection and giving

Lent is a time of reflection and spiritual renewal for many Christians. It's often a time of 'giving up', fasting and prayer. Churches like St Leonard's Wollaton are expressing their faith through participation in acts of giving and kindness.
They have relaunched their Lent Appeal this year for Refugee Roots. The church asked members to donate during the period of Lent. Our Charity Director visited the church at the beginning of Lent to share about the charity's work and future plans. The visit was an opportunity to reconnect and make new relationships.
£1,140 has been raised so far, with just over one week to go. We are so grateful for the effort and contributions made from the congregation.

We want to thank everyone for their commitment to raising these vital funds for Refugee Roots as we provide a place to belong.

What other churches are doing

St Paul's Boundary Road have split their annual donation to Refugee Roots into 12 monthly payments, spreading out their giving.
