Refugee Roots featured on Givto

We were delighted to be featured on Givto in May.

Givto is a new way to donate to charity that allows users to give to a different cause each month with one simple Direct Debit. The service was developed by volunteers in Leeds who wanted to support local charities during the pandemic. Following a successful pilot in Yorkshire, Givto is now being rolled out to people nationwide. Givto offers users the chance to support local charities and discover new causes - like ours.

Each month, Givto users are given three causes to choose from. We were selected to feature in May, and we were so excited to share our cause with a new audience. We were very pleased to hear that 32 Givto members donated a total of £552 for Refugee Roots!

Vodafone's charities.connected is part of their everyone.connected campaign, helping four million people and businesses cross the digital divide by the end of 2025. Vodafone have awarded us 300 SIM cards to distribute for free to our participants.

Postcode Places Trust awards £25,000 to Refugee Roots

We are pleased to announce that Refugee Roots has been awarded a grant of £25,000 from Postcode Places Trust, a grant-giving charity funded entirely by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
Living Wage Foundation

We are happy to announce that we have been accredited as a living wage employer! Our living wage commitment will see that everyone employed at Refugee Roots receives a minimum hourly wage of £10.90
Trinity Church Nottingham, Compassion Ministries

Trinity Church has partnered with local charity Refugee Roots to collectively deliver Refugee Roots’ Access Project in Trinity’s Home Space each Wednesday. Refugees can access free language classes at the Home Space each Wednesday with a free lunch, drinks and cakes from 1pm, and English classes from 1.30pm until 3pm.
The Hilden Charitable Fund

The Hilden Charitable Fund is an endowed grant-making foundation and a registered charity. It funds smaller UK-based organisations delivering projects within the UK to support social justice and to tackle disadvantage in specific areas of focus. We provide unrestricted, core and project funding.
