Celebrate Refugee Week 2026 in Nottingham

Mark your calendars for the thrilling Refugee Week 2026 on 15 June at the Nottingham Playhouse.

• 6-6.30pm: Arrivals, and games 
• Live performances from Refugee Roots and Nottingham Playhouse Creative Cafe, and Nottingham Poetry Festival
• Pop-up exhibition
• Photo exhibition (West Notts College) 

This special event will also feature original performances, created collaboratively by participants from Refugee Roots and the Nottingham Poetry Festival team, including Alma, Jay, David 'Stickman' Higgins, and Lux Gagos. Their powerful and heartfelt works will be unveiled, celebrating the theme “Courage".
