Volunteer Induction

Asma, our Volunteer Coordinator, will be running the volunteer induction, which is for new volunteers. When you arrive at 32 Clarendon Street, please buzz number 16. We will wait in the foyer area for 5 minutes for everyone to arrive - please aim to arrive on time. Training will take a total of 4 hours.

  • Please bring a light lunch with you. We will be providing some snacks, cakes and hot drinks.
  • After your training, please do let your referees know to expect an email from Refugee Roots, as sometimes it can go into junk mail.
  • On the day Asma will send you all Refugee Roots policies, which must be signed and returned via email.
  • At the end of the training, Asma will hold a Q&A session for all queries including expenses. Please bring something to take down notes. If you require a physical copy of the handouts then please let Asma know so that one can be printed for you, otherwise it will be emailed to you.

Training will be face-to-face and online. After this training, you will receive a link for Safeguarding training. This training is online and can be completed in your own time at home. Please note we cannot match you to a project or befriend until training is completed.

Asma is happy to call to discuss volunteering with you and answer any questions you have in advance of the training day. Book a call
