The Archer Trust awarded £1500 to Refugee Roots.

The Archer Trust is a UK charitable grant-making trust based on Christian values which is registered with the Charity Commission number 1033534.

The Archer Trust was set up in 1994 in memory of Ronnie Archer, who rose through the ranks of Unilever to become Vice-Chairman. Throughout his life he and his wife Catherine applied his surplus earnings for the support of good causes. He provided the money; Catherine researched the beneficiaries.

Maples House at Nottingham High School have organised a 'Move-a-thon'. They are uniting in a challenge that encompasses walking, running, cycling, rowing and swimming, to collectively cover distances that mirror the journeys undertaken by individuals seeking refuge in the UK.

We are pleased to announce that Refugee Roots has been awarded a grant of £25,000 from Postcode Places Trust, a grant-giving charity funded entirely by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
Living Wage Foundation

We are happy to announce that we have been accredited as a living wage employer! Our living wage commitment will see that everyone employed at Refugee Roots receives a minimum hourly wage of £10.90

Support for Refugee Roots The Leathersellers' Foundation awarded £5,000 to Refugee Roots in April 2023.
Trinity Church Nottingham, Compassion Ministries

Trinity Church has partnered with local charity Refugee Roots to collectively deliver Refugee Roots’ Access Project in Trinity’s Home Space each Wednesday. Refugees can access free language classes at the Home Space each Wednesday with a free lunch, drinks and cakes from 1pm, and English classes from 1.30pm until 3pm.

The Wheatcroft Fund Refugee Roots were awarded £5,000 by The Wheatcroft Fund through Nottinghamshire Community Foundation in July 2022. The funds are towards the Befriending and Navigator Project for one year.

Make a referral for a refugee or asylum seeker. We will respond as soon as possible. When we receive a referral we will contact or arrange to meet the person who has been referred and where possible with the referrer to ensure the best possible outcome for the person who has been referred.
