Refugee Roots are providing the following support services in response to Covid 19.

  • Phone support (information, advice and guidance)

  • Telephone Befriending (weekly support)

  • Telephone English Lessons (one to one)

  • Virtual English Lessons (Groups)

  • Food drops (in partnership with local foodbanks)

  • Social groups and Art at home

We are seeking partners as we lead on Telephone Befriending to work together and meet the need for this support.

Weekly phone call from a volunteer might involve;

  • Check in with participant

  • How are they?

  • What needs do they have? Do they have enough food?

  • General support

We want to ensure that people are well, safe and that they are coping in their isolation by connecting them with volunteers that care.

If your organisation would like to be more involved with us or can support us to deliver this through effective referrals paths please contact Adam [email protected]

We are already working closely with partners for food drops and developing new links too. We continue to work closely with partners and professionals through phone support to provide signposting, information, advice and guidance and to make referrals to other providers.
