Arts Council England

Refugee Roots has secured two years of funding (£29,800). Funding from The Arts Council England will enable the Nottingham charity to deliver 70 art sessions each year, an average of two each week.

Supported by volunteer Theodore Stickley and Lead Artist Antonietta Sacco in partnership with Alison Denholm (City Arts), Diana Ali (Curator) and the New Art Exchange the newly funded project has launched full of expectation and ambition that refugees are welcomed and valued in Nottingham.

We are pleased to announce that Refugee Roots has been awarded a grant of £25,000 from Postcode Places Trust, a grant-giving charity funded entirely by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.

We are happy to announce that we have been accredited as a living wage employer! Our living wage commitment will see that everyone employed at Refugee Roots receives a minimum hourly wage of £10.90

Support for Refugee Roots The Leathersellers' Foundation awarded £5,000 to Refugee Roots in April 2023.
Trinity Church Nottingham, Compassion Ministries

Trinity Church has partnered with local charity Refugee Roots to collectively deliver Refugee Roots’ Access Project in Trinity’s Home Space each Wednesday. Refugees can access free language classes at the Home Space each Wednesday with a free lunch, drinks and cakes from 1pm, and English classes from 1.30pm until 3pm.
